BRING ME YOUR TEA (GUITAR TABS)

At long last, here is a finished guitar tab for the left and right sides of "Bring Me Your Tea" from The Chess Hotel.  This is the album version, so it doesn't include the outro section that we play live.  That will be quite an undertaking, but I do plan to tackle that someday, too.

Also, this doesn't include the intro from the video, which was recorded separately later.  But as has been requested by others already, I hope to also finish and offer that at some point in the near future.  If you're using the video (posted below) as a reference, the tabs start at about the 2:34 mark.

I wish you guys could hear the MIDI Playback on this file (Guitar Pro 5 - tab software).  Hilarious!  Sounds like a really bad 1st Generation Ringtone.

Files are absolutely free - links posted below my signoff as downloadable/printable .pdf.  If you feel adventurous, record a video of yourself playing this and upload it to YouTube.  Or tell your guitar-playin' buddies to come take a shot at it.  If there are any takers, I'll gladly post your video here on my blog.

Note the unorthodox tuning, and enjoy.

$50 & BLACK PEACH TABS (FIXED)

So here's the deal...

I need you, my humble readership, to make some suggestions.  I've got a big family back in Missouri, and because of said big family, rather than buy gifts for everyone, we draw names at Thanksgiving every year.  This may or may not be a practice common to your family, too. 

We are to provide a list of 3-4 items, and the limit is $50.  This eliminates asking for another vintage Les Paul, a Hi-Watt 100W Head w/ matching 4x12 cab, or... any other option that is a grossly exaggerated example within this context.

Everybody else in the family already has their lists in and delivered via the Central Command Control Center (parents) to the person who drew them.  Except me.  And the pressure is mounting. 

There isn't a lot in this world that I actually want for Christmas, other than a vintage Les Paul and/or a Hi-Watt 100W Head w/ matching cab.  Most of the stuff that I want, I've already acquired, or can pirate from the internet.  (Shhh.)  But I keep asking my consumeristic heart if there's anything else I want/need, and the answer I keep getting is, "Yes... an iPhone.  Ask for money to put towards an iPhone."

Seems fair to me, but this has been rejected repeatedly by the C4, because they'd much rather see their living room full of imposing, spacing-absorbing stuff on Christmas morning.  Looks cooler than it actually is.

So hey... please leave a comment with 3-4 suggestions where x is equal to or less than $50.  And please don't delay, because I gotta have my list turned in this weekend.

BlackPeachLive:  If your goal is for your band to cover the song, then this is the one for you, because it's the main guitar track w/ the solo being adapted given that you're playing Drop G/D tuning with a capo on the 2nd fret (the studio version's solo was recorded using standard tuning w/ no capo.)  Since most of the message requests I got for "Black Peach" centered around people wanting to play it live, I decided this approach would be the best.

While that PDF is the most practical version for a live application, the others below it are the Truth: the way it really went down in the studio when we tracked it. I can't explain why it's important for those to also be available; it just is.

If there's a rhythm guitarist in your band, s/he will probably find BlackPeachGuitarLeft the most resourceful (live.)
