• "Studies have shown that American children who learn to read by the third grade are less likely to end up in prison, drop out of school, or take drugs. Adults who read literature on a regular basis are nearly three times as likely to attend a performing arts event, almost four times as likely to visit an art museum, more than two-and-a-half times as likely to do volunteer or charity work, and over one-and-a-half times as likely to participate in sporting activities." --

Yeah. It might not be so good to keep confessing to all this horrible TV show watching! haha! Well, maybe good for your soul to confess!

What book are you reading?
I bought it years ago and now I'm finally reading -A Prayer for Owen Meany- which inadvertently makes me think of you fine boys simple because of the title.

thanks for asking how i'm holding up. because the answer is barely. this blog and live stream are the few bright spots i have right now and i'm hanging on to them with white nuckles.

i like this blog better than the superblog. i don't own a tv so i had to google what the shows were that you were even talking about. silliness, pure silliness. and yes, i can't believe you admitted to them both in one blog.

i'm a big fan of the word buck. i will definitely be using it more. i think it's a great description for you guys and may need to incorporate it into a tshirt design.

chris is definitely kicking butt. and i got video today of one of the girls i babysit rocking out to the tracking from today. i just need to figure out how to upload it. it will melt your heart into a puddle of rock.

btw, no coffee yet?

I heard the first run-through of "Wildest Heart" and thought that it would be one of my favorite new songs. I instantly thought of "One Head Light" and "I Won't Back Down". Hopefully it stayed close to that first version.

1. a male animal
2. a dashing fellow
3. to throw a rider
4. to charge into
5. to strive for advancement sometimes without regard to ethical behavior
6. naked
7. ugly, unattractive female
8. slang for the act of fighting
9. slang for money
10. to be bold; tough

Lookin' a little pensive there, Thom. Or tired. Or pensively tired. Cheer up! Congress moved the beginning of Daylight Savings Time to your birthday!

Wildest Heart is probably my third favorite Elms song now. that song is crazy effing good.

crappy TV shows are so much fun sometimes, though! I don't watch much TV, either. just the handful of favorites, so I definitely miss out on the good (or rather, entertaining) crap like The Bachelor :)

Here is a comment to make your count 7, instead of 6. Love the blog and especially the gear stuff!

I watched "Rock of Love" once. I felt the need to shower afterwards.

I'm loving this live stream deal, great idea!
